The point is that speed ranks helped both Str and Dex characters from the start. That and Str characters had other ways to increase their main stat, while Dex characters had none. And considering that ... |

Even if we skip damage, and save DC ther still is a question of attack bonus - here under old rules Str-based character would benefit, Dex-based would not. |

About weapon finesse: possible, but I'd advise against it in lower levels. As a puppeteer, you're not going to be using melee weaponry anyway, even at start. Taking the weapon finesse around the time ... |

I only skimmed over, but I second Athildur on Fast Hero - remember that puppets will benefit from your class bonus to defense, so Fast 2/Smart 1 will be better entry than Smart 3. Also I'd take high D ... |

@1 - One blades component converts all slam attacks you'd get into claw attacks. This might change in next version though, as Frankto made some changes to that component. |

Just to clear up - yes you can have puppets with diffrent amount of HD. If you want you can spend those 19 HD to make one 18 HD puppet and one 1 HD puppet. |
