It could just be that he knew what Orochimaru was doing (I think he had said it before the coffins opened that it was Edo Tensei) and 4:1 were impossible odds, if 3:1 wasn't bad enough. And according to the Main File, using the seal makes it so you can't be brought back.

Also, don't forget there was the kazekage (while technically not buried, 1. The gravesoil part is for balance to my knowledge and Frankto added it and 2. He might have used soil from where he left the body)

meh, I think the fourth is the Akatsuki leader and is still very alive through some method but, they were implying the fourth was inside the coffin to throw people off.

Of course this is speculation, don't think I have any facts you don't.

yeah that is true but he sealed him in the boy, if the seal is the same as the third tried to use on orchimaru than the demon would of died when he sealed it himself?

Thats part of the reason I think hes the Akatsuki leader. The hair matches and hes the one guy who it seems to be completely impossible yet we have no actual proof hes dead. Plus it would mean big drama for Naruto.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Kakashi have flashbacks (Manga, I think, possibly anime) that implied that he was present at the sealing of the Kyuubi into Naruto, and thus present at the death of the 4th Hokage? I haven't checked on either one in a while, seeing as I left out of disgust during the flash-forward arc a bit after Garaa got captured, but i'm pretty sure I remember something like this.

It's spikey, also I fell behind on the manga during my summer camp and never caught up so, if we have seen the dudes actual face I missed that one.

We all know how the writer likes to use eyes for everything so that could be anything and piercings can be gained at any time. The main reason I still suspect him is because is he the most unlikely person for the job.

And I guess I'm fairly used to dissapointing endings to anime lol
