I know a guy who knew a guy who tried to pierce his own nipple with a safety pin. Ended up tearing it off. While trying to wipe away all the blood with a towel, he went to pull off what he thought was a white thread. That "thread" turned out to be a nerve ending. He instantly passed out and shat himself from the pain.

True (and hilarious) story.
