Eventually, but not in this update. You lot have to realize that editing 1179 techniques isn't any kind of pleasant.

I require an opinion. Cursed Seal mark II.

No, no I would not imagine it to be. I've only been creating and reviewing something like 300-450 spells for a campaign setting of mine and...well...though it's exciting because it's for a new campaign setting, it is also a lot of work and not very pleasant. Know that your hard work will be greatly appreciated (as it is already being).

I find this to be a nice version of the Cursed Seal.

I like the changes to the curse seal skill, it looks to me like it would be more like the anime or manga, thoguh i havn't actually watched the show or read any manga that focuses on the cursed seals effects for some time now. As far as the curse seal itself 2 points of permanent constitution damage itself i think is a bit high but might be for the better for those who like to use it a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing the curse seal having to recharge the chakra is gives when the seal is inactive mainly because a character with a good enough fortitude save could do the simple activate gain 12 chakra then a couple pf turns later deactivate it and then repeat the process again for powerful techniques, i see the fortitude save increasing things but it would just make more sense to me if the curse seal had to recharge the chakra it gave. Thats my 2 cents.

Just a suggestion, but maybe it only gives the chakra bonus once in a 24 hour period, or something to that effect.

This is an effort to address the consequences of using a cursed seal, and in no way related to temporary chakra:

Mark II

Mark III

Tell me which one you lot prefer.

EDIT: THe last line of the Cursed Seal drawbacks should read "Afflicted by disease and Fortitude save (DC 25) or 2d6 Con"

Mark II CS2 gives 2 CSP per round. Cursed seal (either level) can be used safely up to Con. mod times per day, each time after that deals 2 Con damage.

I find this Cursed Seal Mark III inspiring and a general improvement of the previous versions. I think the CSP things and the activation limited to a number of times per day a very good thing Smile.
The prevention of overuse is very nice, and the DCs of the CSP saves aren't too great because the character level (and thus Fort save) would increase as the character has used the seal more and more.
Overall, a great improvement. I approve Smile.

I also vote Mark III. I think it does a better job of reflecting the Cursed Seal as it's presented in the manga.

What do you lot think, should Mark III CSP drawbacks be daily or weekly? For simplicity's sake.

Mark III, version 2 now lowers the chakra granted when activating the cursed seal by a third each time after the first, and so grants chakra only 3 times.

The Control Cursed Seal skill also features a Quicken Transformation check for willing recipients of the seal, to transform as a swift action on a DC 25 for level 1, and 30 for level 2.

I think it should work on a daily progression. Having something refuse to heal for several days after a battle even on disuse/complete rest makes no sense.

For example, if this was Kimimaro's problem, then all he would have to do is wait for the correct day of the week, then blow out 7 days of carnage with the cursed seal. His death wouldn't have jumped so quickly, I think.

I think Mark III has the right idea, but it needs to be a daily struggle, with healing occuring as the days pass.

I agree that giving penalties on a daily basis makes more sense. Knowing that you wouldn't have to deal with the consequences of using the seal until later seems to me like it would encourage frequent use, which is the opposite of what CSP is intended to do in the first place.

I like Mark II, as III seems like they get too many uses per day out of it. Most ninjutsu users have 16+ Con, giving them insane chakra, combined with the pool from CS, you'd end up with infinite jutsu per day (16 x 12 chakra + 17*level+1). Even the Sound 4 were afraid of using it more than once or twice (after using it fighting the two jounin, they were even scared of fighting 5 genin) because of Fatigue and they couldn't use it again. Hell, they didn't use it until they were about to die other than Sakon, who I believe Orochimaru stated does like to play with his prey (Even then, they do it like 2 or 3 times each only).

Kimimaro wanted to hurry, and in CS he could have killed Lee in an instant. Why go through the trouble of fighting without if he has has 10-20 free uses a day.

Clearly you've not been reading the latest file. The level 1 cursed seal can only grant 24 chakra per day, and the level 2 cursed seal 48. The reduction stack in-between uses of different seals (so one level 1 and a level 2 would reduce the amount of chakra granted by the seal by 12).

Ah, I went to the penalty since that seemed to be what you were asking about. I don't think I understand the CSP though, or really the reason behind the drastic change. CS never seemed overpowered to me.

sorry, Frankto, but I couldn't find any entry about that in the new main file. Actually, when I read "Yes, I have, and in time' I thought this 'in time' has the meaning of 'It's already there'. Was i wrong?

I think so, ^_^; I think he meant that as, "At a time in the future that I will designate then, and not now."

So we'll just have to be patient, *nod*
