I was wondering why the Chain was not in the ND20 book. I mean, I'm sure some ninja's would use it.
Also, why is it that the chain can be used as a double-weapon, but the kusari-gama cannot? _________________

Originally, Kusari-Gama from Oriental Adventures was a double weapon for d6 Slashing/d4 Bludgeoning. With some chain-like abilities useful for disarming/tripping .
Never really noticed...I only had a kusari-gaam wielding character once, and that campaign never really started...too bad . _________________ Oy, this is going to be troublesome *sigh* |

Well, I assume from a d20 point of view, the only reason to use a kusari-gama instead of a chain is to have a selection between slashing and bludgeoning damage.
It's just that, from a rl point of view, Kusari-gama's were created for double-fighting. You would use the chain part to try and hold down the oponets weapon, usually a sword or spear or other large weapon, while you shash at him with the kama part. _________________
