That question wouldn't have to be asked if people were not so damn retarded, believe it or not I have gotten calls about "any keys" and have had people forget to plug in their pc. -_- (we work on pples comps) |
Indeed - which is why Microsoft has tiered help, one lower tier to work out the idiots, and a middle tier for actual tech support, and a higher tier for a skilled problem. |

C is the WORST language one would EVER perform mass string manipulations - obviously, you don't know jack squat about programming if you suggest programming it in C. Javascript Java.
On another note - No, I LIKE it in the current alphabetical order. And even if I didn't and wrote the damn script - Frankto wouldn't implement it. Get off your high horse to think someone else will put the effort forward on a stupid idea you just happen to think sounds good.
So, congratulations - you've managed to really annoy me. Usually, when someone wants me to do something - they give me something worthwhile to do it. Like Microsoft pays me cash to do my work - and put up with stupidity like yours. Which I only have to put up with once in a while.
As for your comment that you are good at programming - I laugh. You can't spell to save your life - syntax is the most important thing about C code. I doubt you can do more than act like a complete idiot - sorting algorthms are simple enough, but text manipulation is cruel and unusual in C. Not to mention, the need to manipulate mass arrays of text, along with a memory manipulation buff to do it? That's easily a few thousand lines of code that could break easily. As I already mentioned, you don't know anything aobut programming if you are going to declare it being a simple task in C. What bullshit. |
Ok, u just pissed me off! I won't shoot curses at u cuz I don't want 2 b baned so listen ok?! I just said I got a simple template for that sort of thing in a C book, not to use the C to do so. Damn it, i didn't even read your massage to end...
And when I said I'm good at it, I didn't mean I'm a pro that makes gamers, I just know basic functions in C and pascal (what? That what we learned) and make the school assigments proparly...
And I said that it would b easy for someone like U! Damn! _________________ "What is seen, but only a second before you die?"

Let's chill out guys.
Cm, it might not be reasonable to think everyone who suggests the creation of a database is aware of the technical aspects that would be required for the creation of such a project. I understand Cold's requests might have annoyed you but that hardly called for the severity of your attack, man. Here is what he said immediately preceding your post:
Quote: | Ok... Just wanted to help... |
Clearly not being argumentative. Maybe it annoyed you, but come on.
Cold, sorry but when it comes to requests trying to do it yourself is the pre-cursor and if no one has the time/means/energy to do it, you'll just have to accept it and try some other way of getting it done. It is a cool idea, nonetheless. |

KP, suggestion, shut up before he hacks your computer. Or uploads a virus or something... But I would shut up all the same. _________________ I must not fear.

So are you the reason my IE has so many security holes? Also, whats up with copying Netscape's style?
.... Yeah, too many questions?

Actually, the security holes are likely due to the fact we're still using code that dates back several years, to the ninety's. As for 'copying' Netscape's style, I don't know if we bothered doing that or not. |

Actually, we are using the code for backward compat. Like most products do, actually. |

And because starting a new code project is way more costly than update another. I'm just curious, CM, and I'm sorry for the off topic, but I work as a programer too (on a small enterprise, not anything so big like MS). Is every new version of IE just an update of the current code, as in adding new lines, or do you put the past code on a new code framework (copypasting old code into new code)?
I know this is stupid but I couldn't hold myself. I work for program maintenance and we write inside the old code instead of doing a little rethinking and reworking the code so it becomes more understandable. _________________ Oden! So for security patches inside of any given version of IE, we simply add, modify, or change existing lines of code. That would be Sustained Engineering, what I focus 90% of my work on, also known as maintenence of IE. For maintenence, there's no reason to refactor something - it could cause a regression in the code, and people tend to get far more worked up over regressions... |
