I don't recall if I posted this a while ago, but wasn't able to find it so I'll assume no.

So, Aburame are very powerful. To demonstrate, I have the goal of demonstrating the combinatorial effect of a full complement of Kikaichuu.

So, we take a level 20 character. For this exercise, I'm going to assume that Mushi Dama (over in the Homebrew section) is allowed, but it isn't necessary, just makes the process safer if slower.

So, he advances on the Kyuubi. He performs a full kikaichuu complement extended Mushi Dama no jutsu. The Kyuubi lacks an escape artist skill, and as such is stuck. It will take 22-27 chakra damage a round for 15 rounds, for a total of 330 chakra damage (assuming no failed saves). This has cost our character less chakra than he can grab from two chakra gems. Rinse and repeat: We have now reduced the Kyuubi's CP to 0 (it has 874), and all further chakra damage completely bypasses everything and is dealt directly as damage. Assuming it doesn't roll a 1 on the resulting depletion save, and using only the Mushi Dama technique (assuming we're only fighting with der bugs), the Kyuubi will be completely devoured to the bones in (40 rounds to reduce chakra to 0, effective damage after that of 25 due to bijuu regeneration = 39 rounds to reduce to 0 HP, 79 rounds) less than 8 minutes.

This is actually faster to accomplish with RAW kikaichuu, as hivemaster can allow slashing damage, increasing the damage to 11d3+44 chakra. This reduces the average time expected to kill the beast by 20 rounds. There, however, you need to find a way to keep it from targeting the kikai.

This is all, again, with no other techniques. Needless to say, throwing additional damage (esp. in the second stage) hastens it considerably. And if you use shuriken expert and spam chakra sponge shuriken you can help it along a very little more (but that's relying on 1s on saves to help).

Edit: It's technically epic since I'm not counting bloodline level, pushing it into ECL 21. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

Edit Edit: Corrected my mistakes. I wish to point out that Mushi Dama auto causes Nausea, which was why it was selected.

I'm tired enough that I can't be bothered to do the math on Mushi Dama, but the Kyuubi's Demonic Chakra ability halves all chakra damage. Dunno if you factored that in or not. Also, if you use Efficient Technique on a technique, you can't use any other Meta-chakra feat on it.

Turn 1, You 'catch' the kyuubi in your Mushi Dama and surround him by all your kikaichuu swarms.

The Kyuubi makes his Fort save and isn't stunned. The Kyuubi wields his massive chakra and performs Kaenhoudan no Jutsu, maximum empowerment.

He deals 16d6 fire damage to ALL your kikaichuu swarms, who could maybe make a Reflex save (DC 23) to take half of that. But wait, they're swarms so they take 150% damage from the attack. Yeah, that's about 84 fire damage. 42 if it's halved. Probably enough to screw your swarms royally. If not, he does it again next turn.

Now you have no more swarms, the kyuubi has plenty of chakra left, not to mention well over 900 hp and regenerates 19 hp per round.

Good luck. You're fucked.

Distraction requires a fort save vs. nausea, not the other way around. A successful save makes it difficult to use techniques.

Which is why Mushi Dama is so useful (as it protects the bugs), it's fort save partial: a blown save stuns you. A successful save nauseates and thus prevents counter attack.

I had overlooked the Demonic Chakra halving chakra damage... Dang, that adds another 20 rounds.

And I knew I forgot something with the metachakra. Dang, that doubles the number of chakra gems that must be used.

That doesn't mean Kyuubi can't just step on you just by occupying the space. Rolling Eyes
