  • Kanegakure no Jutsu now lasts for 1 hour/level.
  • Jigen Ugoku and Mugen Ugoku slightly modified, now have slightly larger range.
  • Shunshin no Jutsu slightly modified, now has a Mastery component.
  • Mangekyou Sharingan overuse-induced Blindness reduced to -1 per techniques.
  • Time required to master techniques (and penalty) decreased: 1st (-1) and 2nd (-1) step are at half time, 3rd (-2) is normal time, 4th (-2) is 1.5 times, and 5th (-3) is 2 times. (!!)
  • Jyuuken now benefits from increase of unarmed damage (all stances). Sacred Fist is still a stance in itself.
  • Defensive Kaiten now requires the technique to have been used this encounter, not this turn.
  • The Jyuuken stances now cost 1 and 2 chakra for the first and second instance of it, respectively.
  • The first Jyuuken Stance allow the user to use Tenketsu Sealing once per encounter for free rather than seal tenketsu on every attack (2 and 3 times on second and fourth step of mastery respectively)
  • Juuin Jutsu modified to acomodate the new cursed seal template
  • Amaterasu was modified.

    Bloodlines and Templates:
  • Chakra Vampire is now a Bloodline Template.
  • Sabiketsu is now a Bloodline Template.
  • Each and every bloodline except for the Chakra Vampire and Sabiketsu have become Progressive Bloodlines. (!!!!)
  • Several feats were moved from the Feats section and modified, and several more were added. (!!)
  • The Cursed Seal template and Control Cursed Seal skills have been modified and reworked (!!)
  • The cost of several bloodlines have been reduced, including Katsugan, Fortify, Sharingan Eye (among others).

    Summoning:
  • Summon Duration mechanic changed.
  • Summons now cannot regain chakra by any means while summoned
  • Added Chakra Pool, Depletion and Summon Duration section.

    Basic Game Mechanics:

    Basic Classes:
  • Tough Hero's endurance talents changed to give 5 chakra each.

    Feats:
  • Heroic Surge has been reworked slightly and grants a quickened action (!!!)
  • Underhanded Technique now correctly increases the chakra cost.
  • Multipuppet Fighting feat has been simplified and changed slightly.

    Equipment:
  • The Chisa-gatana's critical threat range is now correctly 19-20.
  • The Ninja-to now correctly deals slashing damage.
  • Heavy dark iron and oversized were modified.
  • The exploding kunai was removed.
  • Sunburst tags were modified.
  • Ice bomb damage was increased.
  • Exploding tags were renamed to paper bombs and modified to allow linking.
  • Greater exploding tags were modified slightly and are now superior paper bombs.

    Advanced and Prestige Classes:
  • The Taijutsu Master's Improved Critical taijutsu mastery has been replaced by Uncanny Critical.
  • The Technique Analyst's Elemental Shaping meta-chakra mastery has been reworked.
  • The Elementalist's Elemental Surge has been improved slightly, but now grants a quickened action. (!!!)
  • The Genjutsu Master's Quicken Illusion has been improved slightly, but now grants a quickened action. (!!!)
  • The Ninja Scout's Quicken Technique has been rewritten to be clearer and now grants a quickened action. (!!)
  • The Summoner's Pride of the Summoner has been rewritten to be clearer and can now grant a quickened action. (!!)
  • The Samurai now gains bonus chakra like the Sacred Fist
  • The Shinobi Bodyguard and Squad Captain's Mettle ability now affects any Fortitude partial effect as well as Will saves. (!!!)
  • The Puppeteer's Greater Focus skill was renamed Intense Concentration and its effects were improved. (!!)
  • The Elementalist's elemental focus now only increases the save difficulty by +1. (!!)
  • The Genjutsu Master's greater mastery now only increases the save difficulty by +1. (!!)

    Techniques:
  • The rules for techniques mastery have been changed: steps 1 through 3 now only require 1 success, and step 4 and 5 require 2 successes (!!!)
  • The Chiyu healing techniques suite are now Fortotide half instead of Fortitude negate.
  • Kourai Dachi was updated and modified slightly
  • Nikuteki Taisha was reworked.

    Friends and Foes:
  • The amount of experience awarded for an elite, boss and solo creature has been lowered (!!)

    Epic:
  • Outstanding and Abysmal chakra signatures now renamed to Legendary and Godlike respectively
  • Sacred fist epic progression altered slightly

  • The Tumble skill was modified to match the changes made in D&D version 3.5.

    Feats:
  • The Two-Weapon Defense feats were significantly changed.

    Equipment:
  • Ironium weapons no longer overcome thorium damage reduction (!!)

    Advanced and Prestige Classes:
  • The Ninja Scout's Quicken Technique is now correctly using the Quicken Actions mechanics
  • The duration of the Puppetry and Advanced Puppetry I to IV was increased significantly.
  • Added a Puppeteer skill called Efficient Puppetry.
  • Shinobi Swordsman's Power of the Elite now only gives a bonus to damage rolls, but instead slightly increases the DC of Strike techniques.
  • The Shade class progression is now staggered over 7 levels rather than 5, and it gains a slightly better defense progression (!!!)
  • Weaponmaster class removed, relocated instead to the upcoming Portfolio of Prestige.
  • Samurai class removed, relocated instead to the upcoming Portfolio of Prestige.

    Techniques:
  • Chakra Nagashi's Elemental variants now also affects vulnerable creatures differently.
  • Samurai-based Kenjutsu, Kyushojutsu, Soujutsu and Tsuijutsu techniques removed, relocated instead to the upcoming Portfolio of Prestige.

    Bloodlines:
  • The Shikotsu Myaku's dead bone pulse ability now increases attack and damage rolls instead of only damage rolls.
  • Added the Rare and Heroic subtypes.

    Friends and Foes:
  • Added invisibility.
  • Immortal subtype changed slightly. Associated immunities were removed.

    Epics:
  • The epic attack and defense bonuses have been merged into one progression (using the attack bonus as baseline)
  • The Craft (mechanical) epic skill now has a section on epic puppet core modifications

    Ninja Tools:
  • The armor piercing weapon seal was altered
  • Living puppet maximum ability scores were altered slightly.
  • Armor plating component renamed to Armor Plating, Light and modified slightly.
  • The point cost of Kunai Shower III was decreased slightly.
  • Makibishi Launcher now renamed Caltrops Trap and modified slightly.
  • The point cost of Elemental Cannon, Superior was decreased slightly.
  • The Iron Maiden component was modified and its point cost was decreased slightly
  • Greater dragon's breath component now costs 4 chakra
