Hi there. First time post, so I apologize in advance if I make some mistakes.
So I'm joining some friends in a game and this is our first time, and I'm making my character. My goal is to make him similar to Ganondorf in Smash Bros.--a powerhouse bruiser mainly focused in melee, perhaps able to pull off something akin to his special moves in that game (e.g. Warlock Punch/Kick, etc.)
But all this stuff is... Pretty overwhelming. I'm super excited, but there's so many choices and concepts that I don't know where to begin or how to not overextend!
I could use some advice on what to look for and aim for in this endeavor. Things of note:
-My scores are
17, 15, 15, 14, 13, 12
-We are starting from Level 1, as Academy Students
-For the most part, anything from the core and supplements (both the official ones and the Community Compendium) is fair game.
Thanks in advance for any help or insight y'all can provide! |

Welcome to the forums! Glad my CC could aid in your game play.
Well clearly Taijutsu is what you'll wanna go for, if you're trying to represent full on brusier powerhouse style there are a couple that can do that sufficiently. But that comes down to taste, namely you wanna get Strength Ranks as high as can be and Taijutsu techniques that enhance your damage more.
I'd probably put my 17 in Con and a 15 in Strength and go from there with whatever else you want to dole out. _________________ The Naruto D20 Discord Channel

That sounds good to me! Starting at Level 1 makes things... Interesting, but aiming for techniques to build up strength does sound good! Was there any particular Taijutsu style that personally stuck out to you when reading this? I was thinking Ten-Tonne style might suit it well with a dash of Eight Gates, possibly? And some levels in either Chakra Fighter or Takedown Specialist to supplement?
Thanks again for your advice! I'm really excited and looking forward to seeing how it all turns out |
