This discussion is over. It's been indeed taken too far already, and will not be changed until I have solid proof that my names are flawed. As for the name, if you can figure out the translation you are worthy of any praise I might find for you. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

You'll know if you can decipher the name, which will definitely not be an easy task.

How does the CR adjustment work for characters of Clan Members with a Bloodline? _________________ "I'm no ordinary pervert... I'm a SUPER PERVERT!!!"

You add the CR modifier to the character's level, when figuring out how much xp the character gets. For example; a level 1 character with the byakugan, is treated as a lvl 3 character, for experiance purposes. _________________ If life was easy it wouldn't be interesting. |

Not quite. The LA adjustment from the bloodline doesn't affect CR in the slightest. Never has, and likely never will. _________________ - Harold R. Nichols, Jr. |

Valkyn is correct. ECLA affect the character's effective level for determining how much XP he gains. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

He would need what ever a 3rd level character would need. 6,000 is correct. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Frankto is right.
A 1st Level Smart Hero w/ the Byakugan would be ECL 3, and thus need 6000 xp to attain their 2nd Level. _________________ - Harold R. Nichols, Jr. |

If the ECLA is 2, then perhaps Byakugan should activate earlier, like at level 2 instead of 3? Defidently not level 1, of course. _________________ "I'm no ordinary pervert... I'm a SUPER PERVERT!!!"

Those charts should read ECL, not ECLA. Also the ECL +1 chart should read 1000 at Lv 1, and the ECL +2 chart should read 3000 at Lv 1. _________________ - Harold R. Nichols, Jr. |

Great work! Frankto I've been a fan of your advanced classes on Wizard's D20 Modern board for a while.
I can't wait to tell my friend Devan about this. He's a huge Naruto fan. _________________ "Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster,

Why, thank you! That's an unenexpected surprise 8)
Welcome to the boards!
And I can write my own flavor text now!
EDIT: As for ECL +1 and +2, my charts are correct. You don't need XP to get to level 1. It always is, and will always be 0. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Which is a pity, because I don't (and probably never have) give a damn. And there are many ways to write "LA", and mine (Effective Character Level Adjustment, or ECL Adjustment in short) is merely one other.
Move on, people. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Well said Frankto.
Now lets all focus on what?s really important Naruto D20, and I for one would love to know when the next update to the main file will be, how Epic Naruto D20 is coming along? And if there is any way I can help, even if it?s just requests or feedback. |

Elon is entirely right. If you start to wonder when Naruto: d20 Epics is coming out when Naruto: d20 was just out, you might want to consider playing D&D instead. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

There's nothing wrong playing DnD. In fact, the only reason I found this site is that in December I decided to make a new core class for my DnD campaign and decided to base it off my favorite anime. The class I created was very similar to the system you use, except on a much more rudimentary level. I had chakra points, and as you used them, you became fatigued. I had Lee's gates worked in, and handled techniques as if they were spells based on a spell point system like psionics. The chakra points a character got were based on Con, ect.
While not a big fan of d20 Modern, I have spent probably the last eight hours digesting your system. WOW. That's cool. I totally freaked out when I found this and pulled an all-nighter reading. And with some real minor changes, I can even use your rules for my DnD game. Take out action points, say AC instead of defense, make attack actions standard actions, throw away refrences to wealth and reputation, ect.
I totally support this site and the hardwork you've put into it. I hope that I can make some suggestions and submit some ideas and critiques to you. When I get done playtesting the DnD version rules I tweaked (this weekend), I plan on submitting a lot of ideas for techniques and templates. Back in the fall, in the planning phases of my system, I had worked out templates for the Aburame and Nara clans. I guess you guys would call them, occupations (?), which is a really novel idea. |

Thank you for your good words, and welcome on the boards.
For the D&D conversion, it is possible, though I wouldn't recommend it. Action points are vital for class features and sudden outburst of Chakra (like Naruto, for example), and magic items could really unbalance the game.
If you plan to sumbit your techniques and Clan ideas to figure in the main file, make sure not to include mechanics. Other than that, I encourage you to go ahead.
Good day,
