Is anyone able to follow my line of thought?

How do I get from Mongoose to Mona Lisa

with with max. 9 total thoughts, so 7 others than mona lisa and mongoose.

(e.g. Wood->Axe->Fire) in 3 thoughts, or 1 other than fire and wood.

My line of thought was better.

Mongoose - Mona Lisa.
(Or Mongoose - Mo - Mo...na Lisa)

Or even...Mongoose -> Mammal -> Leonardo da Vinci was a mammal -> Mona Lisa.

Mind boggling, I tell you...

At least you follow a line... I can't even figure out how I move from one thing to the next. Though while trying to figure you out I came up with, mongoose- rikitikitavi - cobra - rikitikitavi eats the cobra- rikitikitavi is strong... id use a sniper rifle if i had to kill him- then celebrate with ice cream- would mongooses eat cobra flavored ice cream? - rikitikitavi would...- ill just eat wheat thins- vampire's wouldn't eat them because they aren't blood flavored - what if there was a vampire mongoose?- mongoose dog...- GIR - Gir vs rikitikitavi - wait rikitikitavi got sniped, omg zombies - maybe I should eat yogurt instead of ice cream - would the zombies come after brain flavored yogurt? - einstein's brain must have been delicious, or maybe not because math is boring, I bet a smart artish brain would be tastier- picasso...wait that might cause stomach cramps- da vinci! he knew alot more than anyone should have for his time...and was an artist- maybe he's a vampire- GIR would take him- unless rikitikitavi is da vinci's pet zombie mongoose...- no he would prolly paint that if it was true...- he painted the mona lisa...
And therefore mongoose leads to mona lisa.

a simpler: Swastika to Bridge (card game) in 5 or less steps.

or a fun one that is too easy, freak out: Ramen to Pastafarianism in as many you like steps Wink

edit: removed typos

I think the Swastika one is easy.
Swastika - Nazi
Nazi - Panzers Tanks
Panzer tanks - Similar to the Metal Gear tank in Metal Gear Solid 3
Metal Gear Tank - Blow up bridge to beat it once
Bridge is also the name of a card game!

....I don't think that counts though. XD

My brother! May His Noodly Appendage guide you!

Ramen -> Noodles -> Noodly Appendage -> Flying Spaghetti Monster -> Pastafarianism.

yes i do, and actually the german word "panzer" is the equivalent to the english word "tank" Razz

And I don't think a human fears a video game machine Razz and and and...

it could be done in 4, but 5 or below is quite enough.

Swastika - Four points and used by Nazis, men in suits - Bridge is played with a deck of cards that has four suits.

Razz. I'm being far too complicated about this xD.

isn't the burma railway the railway across thailand? But I admit, there is a book about a bridge there... Wink

the railway was finished in '43 wasn't it?

swastika->panama(there was a spanish flag with a swastika on as a state flag in panama)->coup (how panama is connected to coup d'?tat should be known i guess Wink)->bridge (coup is referring too, to a let's call it card playing technique in bridge)

that is the 4 steps.

Athildur seems always finding the most logical solution, that is uhm, a bit frustrating Wink

I think he cheated. We are, after all, all ninja... so I think he used some type of ninja tool that gives him the answer. Maybe a super intellignet parrot or something.
Mad I'm on to you.......
Shocked

finding out a formula is another thing... it is quite easier than that, as there are certain mathematical methods to use. Here you have NO method to employ, you must just make a connection between two unconnected things, many ways may end at a dead end...

*hides his camel*

Me? Cheating? Don't be ridiculous...

Nope, this is just something developped over the years since it's the easiest way to win an argument. And I do love winning arguments. A lot. Frequently. Razz.

space marines -> war -> animals-> lizards

to easy...
explanation:
space marines are footsoldiers to wage war.
during the ancient times animals were used in wars, e.g. elephants.
A lizard is an animal.

edit: maybe skip animal

How about...Space MArine -> Hungry -> Lizards? Razz.

More logically, though: Space Marines battle Tyrannids, who are reptiles, just like lizards.

I am fairly certain they are reptiles. The multitude of claws, hooks and bone one can see reminds me very much of suarian creatures. Which are reptiles. I do believe.
