Damage
I have a level 4 strong hero
with a Zanbatou, that using 6
chakra to combo Kage Boyou,
Shishi Rendan, and Asshou!,
can inflict anywhere from 10
to 130 damage with no criticals
and a max of 216 with all crits.
Method
Feats
1. Monkey Grip
2. Exotic Weapon Zanbatou
3.Weapon Focus Zanbatou
Talents
1. Melee Smash 1
2. Melee Smash 2
Stats
Strength = 17
(EDIT)
I made a house rule where
Kage Boyou, and Asshou! can
be used armed (EDIT)

That's what I thought too, but it doesn't specify either way so I guess it can.
The fault lies not with Shishi Rendan, but with Kage Buyou, which has to be made unarmed. Unless you have Quick Draw, you won't have time to pull out your weapon between techniques.
EDIT: By the way, the poll and the large text are not necessary.
EDIT#2: Also, wrong section. This sub-forum is for levels 21 and up. _________________ Be careful when you follow the masses, because sometimes the 'm' is silent. |

You can use your legs and kick, even holding a sword. I guess... |

Don't forget Assou! is unarmed, or I think so.
Also, Epic is for anything that is also a broken-ness. Not necessarily epic.

Then the damage output changes to 1d3 instead of as if you hit with the Zanbatou |

None of the techniques mentioned (ecept perhaps for Asshou - too lazy to check) so the "build" fails. Also please don't use so big font. _________________ Three are the paths of soul:

Asshou! does not specify armed or otherwise. Shishi Rendan does not specify armed or otherwise. Kage Buyou DOES specify unarmed.
Yes, I did check. And yes, it was before my previous post.

That makes... some sense. If that were the case would your feet count as off-handed since the weapon would be your primary? _________________ Be careful when you follow the masses, because sometimes the 'm' is silent. |

Unless you take levels in Sacred Fist and enter the stance before this (maybe we can get this to work still, just slightly smaller) |

I don't think your feet would out ass an off-hand. That seems odd when your not attacking with the sword. _________________ "Love is a very powerful force. Even more so when it's focused into a coherent beam of destruction."

I think kicks are always off hand. As monk and sacred fist say "The user's elbows, hands, legs, and feet are all weapons and when using them, the monk/sacred fist is never off handed" |

Quote: | Unarmed Attack
The Taijutsu Master attacks with either fist interchangeably, or even with elbows, knees, and feet. This means that the Taijutsu Master may even make unarmed strikes when his or her hands are full, and there is no such thing as an off-hand attack for striking unarmed. |

I believe that just means you can't dual wield unarmed strikes.

Ok, Taijutsu Master. What I get for never using melee based classes. I just remembered Sacred Fist is basically monk, so thought it was that. Still makes me think that you can't kick while wielding a weapon and just say it's your right foot unless you a monk. |

You can attack unarmed while holding a weapon, I believe.
But it wouldn't do you much good since chances are the weapon deals a whole lot more damage, and you have focus or whatnot in it. _________________ Oy, this is going to be troublesome *sigh* |

The way I see it, you cant really do Shishi rendan with a zanbatou. ITS JUST TOO BIG. Shishi rendan is a series of moves that take place the exact same way every time you do the technique or pretty much. A zanbatou replacing the strikes made with precision by the arms and legs is impossible in ANIME mode. In Naruto D20 do whatever you wantm just remember youre playing an anime. _________________ Be the Ultimate Ninja! PlayBillyVs.SNAKEMANtoday! |
