First, I want to say thanks to Frankto for making all this happen. I love the game.
I have a little suggestion that I ask you to consider.
Could you seperate the techniques by their type?
For example, instead of all being clumped together, you would have a section for Ninjutsu, one for Taijutsu and one for Chakra control.
Dividing up the techniques into three sections like that would make jutsu selection and referencing much more efficient in my opinion.
Well, thanks again. |

Just. Use. Alt+F.
It's the best way to look for Techniques.
I mean, seriously, do you people browse through the technique list like it's a card catalouge or something? _________________ Sarcasm and cigarettes, provided daily.

It's Ctrl+F actually, and Frankto has already done this in the Technique Index. Fidn what you want there, then do a search for it in the main list. _________________ Be careful when you follow the masses, because sometimes the 'm' is silent. |

LOL...
Well I was wondering why isn't it organized (SPELLING!!!) to nin/tai/genjutsu well... I use Ctr+F to search for stuff, but I also use my PSP sometimes which doesn't have that function on it's eBokker -_- so I'm having a hard time with it... I team-up for the request... _________________ "What is seen, but only a second before you die?"

Because it's files alphabetically. Do you see spells in D&D being organized by school? No?

If you open your PHB, you'll find Implosion a lot earlier than you'll find Magic Missile. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Perspective is a huge deal though. If you have a near encyclopedic knowledge of a game, you don't need any help finding what you're after. It all appears very intuitive to you, so of course there appears to be no problem.
However, imagine a new player, making their first character.
If he is lucky, he will have the good fortune of scrolling down, past all of the techniques to find the jutsu index. Now, he has to take down notes of the techniques that are potentially available at his level, and then CTRL+F for every single one (and hope to god he isn't looking up one of the jutsus that have similar names, or aren't referenced in countless other jutsus).
If the techniques were organized by type, it would make the game much more intuitive for newcomers picking up the system.
It's all a matter of how refined you want the end product to be. |

Not in the Hebrew version of the book
Shaharazad is right, as a newbie to the intire show, I can't manage to find a specific tec. from all the 3XX pages I must go over, the index helps but still after adding it to the sheet I have to go through the book each time I wanna use it, I don't remember having this in DnD, so... _________________ "What is seen, but only a second before you die?"

I think one should have the short description of each jutsu - that would be helpful. But asking him to do more? Nah, that's just rude. |

I don't intend to bother him with something tedious. I especially don't want to be rude.
I love the game, and I love that it exists. I just thought I could help by pointing out the one thing that I believe would improve it. It's not a big deal. I simply wanted to communicate my idea, for what it's worth.
I honestly have no idea how much work it would take to reorganize the techniques. |

Ok, that turned hard, thanks 4 the people who made this, it wouldn't be the same if someone else would have done it, and not for the better, frankto's team I guess, thank you very much 4 what you've done. I belive it is the most tiring thing-the tech's, you already made your part, there must be a 3rd party that have the nerve to make an uttilized file which will be used later for frankto's updates, that way frankto can rest while other people orgnize his work and Some people will understand the pain he went through while making this file (for share and don't look at me, I got bagrut which is like S.I.T but harder and over 10th-12th grade)
And all that under frankto's rights? _________________ "What is seen, but only a second before you die?"

If you aren't willing to put forth the effort yourself, shut up and let the thread die.
And I am the maker of NPC generators, not a writer. Athildur tried to make the shortcut thing, but hell - too many jutsus to process. |

Athildur's still working on it, and has monopolized the project. So we're all waiting (lazy bum, a year of working or more and no progress. Get to work! ). |

Actually, won't it be better make a program that checks the type of the jutsu's, organize it by the order of the index then theire name and reorder it by alphabet? It's a preety easy algoritem, it won't be hard to make it, sectioning the names theireselves to functions is the hard part. I had a C language guide book with a template for that kind of thing, only ordering books to types and ABC order. I'm not a programer though I'm quite good at it, so I really don't think I can help, isn't there a "lazy programer" here _________________ "What is seen, but only a second before you die?"

You obviously are really stupid and naive to say such a set of words.
C is the WORST language one would EVER perform mass string manipulations - obviously, you don't know jack squat about programming if you suggest programming it in C. Javascript Java.
On another note - No, I LIKE it in the current alphabetical order. And even if I didn't and wrote the damn script - Frankto wouldn't implement it. Get off your high horse to think someone else will put the effort forward on a stupid idea you just happen to think sounds good.
So, congratulations - you've managed to really annoy me. Usually, when someone wants me to do something - they give me something worthwhile to do it. Like Microsoft pays me cash to do my work - and put up with stupidity like yours. Which I only have to put up with once in a while.
As for your comment that you are good at programming - I laugh. You can't spell to save your life - syntax is the most important thing about C code. I doubt you can do more than act like a complete idiot - sorting algorthms are simple enough, but text manipulation is cruel and unusual in C. Not to mention, the need to manipulate mass arrays of text, along with a memory manipulation buff to do it? That's easily a few thousand lines of code that could break easily. As I already mentioned, you don't know anything aobut programming if you are going to declare it being a simple task in C. What bullshit. |

You're customer service I'm guessing? If so, especially with Microsoft, I'm surprised you speak understandable English. And apparently you actually help someone instead of "Is it plugged in? Is the screen plugged in? Please pay 19.99 for an additional minute of useless help." Miracles do happen. |

No, I'm a software developer who actually writes code for a living. Not one of those idiots in India who are paid by the hour. If you want to butt in, please do so without looking like an idiot.
For one, I don't think the guys in India doing tech support have a college degree. |

It's called project management. Every tech job has it - read Dilbert, and you will know my day to day life. Painfully so at times. |
