Could someone make the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception from Tsukihime?

For those who haven't played Tsukihime (The majority of you, I'm sure), here's a description stolen from Wikipedia:

Quote:
His ability to see lines, known as the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception (直死の魔眼 - Chokushi no Magan lit. Demon eyes of Direct Death), is an incredibly powerful pseudo-magical effect. The eyes are not really different set of eyes but are a circuit (possibly similar to a Magic Circuit) that opens up in the users brain and normal eyes, allowing them to see the eventual fated destruction of an object or entity expressed as small points on the object or entity's body and as thin black lines that extend from those points and crawl over the body. Attendant with the perception is the ability to trace the lines without much exertion; doing so effectively realizes the fated destruction, and the victim is cut or cracked or broken along those lines. Because this destruction is destined, this method of injury ignores any of the victim's defenses; armor, magical protection, and so forth are useless. While a line symbolizes "damage" along that part of the body, a dot symbolizes the totality of that body's damage, and by extension, "existence". When a dot is pierced, the victim's concept is destroyed. This method of killing is apparently absolute; it bypasses even reincarnation, and can even be used against a collective entity. The only entity immune is Tatari, since that entity does not exist.

The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are not infallible. The human mind was not meant to perceive death in such a way, and using it is highly taxing on the human brain, causing headaches. In addition, there are multiple levels of perception; in the beginning, Shiki could only see lines on people and objects, then progressed to seeing dots on living things, then dots on inanimate objects. Each step takes the mind further from natural perception, and each step is more damaging to the brain; eventually the stress leads the brain's blood vessels to burst and death for the user. In addition, there exist in nature entities which have no fated destruction in particular circumstances; for instance, Arcueid during the point where she is strongest. In these cases, no lines or dots can be seen. Lastly, the ability to perceive and trace lines or pierce dots does not give the user any added physical capacity to perform the task itself, especially against an unwilling target. Shiki must still get in range, aim, and move his hand by himself, which is not a trivial task against the kind of enemies he faces.

And another, from the same source:

Quote:
A teenaged girl, who possesses the "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception", a supernatural ability that allows the user to see the inherent mortality of everything (both living and non-living) in the form of lines and a single point (which is the "origin" of the object). A cut along any line will bifurcate the object, no matter the sharpness of cutting tool used, and a stab at the point destroys the object's origin, causing instant death.

Aaand, yeah. A prerequisite for gaining the eyes would be experiencing death first-hand (Even if it's only something like being clinically dead for 10 minutes then being revived).

I'm just gonna forewarn you that asking other people to make this kind of stuff for you will only result in people replying with things along the lines of "DO IT YOURSELF, LARDASS!"

On the other hand, posting a couple of ideas and asking for constructive criticism could get you the results you're looking for.

Yeah, I'm more looking for ideas and suggestions than anything else. I'm just drawing blanks for this, and I thought someone might be bored enough to do it, so...yeah.

...Probably should have said that in the initial post. Embarassed

This is pretty self explanatory.

When the eyes are active, you gain the ability to see the "dot of existence" and the "lines of destruction" (as I have just conveniently named them) on people and certain object. As the bloodline advances, the user can also see the dots and lines on other living beings and inanimate objects.

Of course, there needs to be aiming. Assuming this dot is pretty small, you'd need to strike the dot with something sharp. Even though the first piece says it bypasses armor, when it later says that it doesn't give the physical ability to pierce the dots, it sort of makes me wonder...if the dot is on the person, it will *have* to pierce armor.
So, you should assign ACs to the dot and the lines. This should, at the very least, be the target's AC, perhaps a few points higher since you're trying to hit a specific spot. Hitting it triggers a Fort Save vs. Death (DC 10 + 1/2 character level + user's Wis/Cha modifier). If the save is failed, the target might suffer additional damage, that is for you to decide.

Lines...basically the same thing. Except the AC might be slightly smaller. And upon hitting it a save is required against a limb you're trying to sever falling off.

That being said, the bloodline would be extremely powerful.

Drawbacks would be nonlethal damage as well as chakra cost while using it, increasing as the bloodline increases in power, eventually provoking Fort saves vs. unconsciousness or death (but the nonlethal damage would still apply).

also: experiencing death first hand...that implies rather heavily that you're making this into a template. And even then...bloodlines or templates given in the middle of campaigns are problematic. They raise the CR and effectiveness of a character significantly while the rest of the party gets nothing. A better pre-requisite would be to experience death first-hand (as in, seeing it from nearby) for at least X people. Or something. But that's, of course, completely your call. These are all just suggestions on what I think might make a decent resemblance of the bloodline in game terms.

I second the call for thie bloodline!

Unfortunately, the Eyes of Death Perception would not allow a fort save when you hit the great dot. It destroys even immortal beings in an instant. It bypasses Damage Reduction and regeneration, both noted when used against a True Ancestor.

Also noted, however, it puts a mental strain on the user, as one is not meant to see the lines, and Shiki would have gone insane if not for the glasses he was given to specifically shut the eyes down.

All in all, the eyes should not be given to a PC. No offense, but cutting off limbs with a scratch is not exactly a light bloodline.

It is to be noted as well that unlike most people you'd give this bloodline to, Shiki already possesses some template for the Nanaya Clan, being psychic demon exterminators. (See Kagetsu Touya for more details) AS such, they become incredibly capable fighters, capable of fighting with a vampire head on, and it is often that speed Shiki relies on to hit the lines.

Also to be noted is that immortal creatures, such as True Ancestors, in their natural element, do not have lines or dots, indicating that they cannot die.

There's my small rant as someone who's been through Type-Moon's games...

Hrm yeah, suggestions were purely based on an approximation of the bloodline that could, possibly, be used by PCs, although at a high cost.

Yeah, it'd probably be a template. With, like, a +8 LA or something. A possible option is that if it hits it invokes a high-dc Massive Damage Save. The attack itself would probably give several saves (First a moderate reflex save to shift so that the blow misses your lines, then another reflex save to dodge a blow to your point, then finally a VERY high will save to see if you can hold yourself together by sheer willpower). The will part is inspired by the Chuck Norris of the Nasuverse - Kishima Kouma (Who crushes a very thick tree with a single, onehanded blow, barely flinches against a direct, full-power strike against his neck by a really really awesome guy and in Kagetsu Tohya Shiki mentions that he only wins against him because it wasn't really Kouma, rather a personification of death itself). The instagib powers become less and less effective according to the level of the victim (Since the harder something is to kill the smaller their lines and dots are).

Also the lesser version possessed by SHIKI (That only shows lines, and only on living things) would be available, gained by experiencing death second-hand or something.

I'm not sure how the limb-severing part would work.

I'm also interested in creating a Nanaya bloodline (The Nanaya clan possesses genetic memory). Shouldn't be too hard, and it'd just give skill bonuses, weapon proficiencies and bonuses, armour proficiencies, some stat bonuses and a speed bonus, as well as an extra point of BAB for each bloodline level. Would probably be a major bloodline. Toss in a couple of feats (that grant minor-level psychic powers) and a frenzy feature that compells the user to kill nonhumans on sight and we're set.

And also the blood-manipulating/insanity bestowing bloodline of the Tohno family would be cool as well.

Any other ideas?

Demon-Hunting Frenzy
Upon moving within 30ft or line-of-sight of any Undead, Abberation, Outsider, Monstrous Humanoid or creature possessing demonic chakra (All of which will be hitherto reffered to collectively as 'demons') you automatically enter a Demon-Hunting Frenzy. While this ability is active, you feel an overwhelming urge to kill anything demonic. You gain 1 speed rank that stacks with existing speed ranks. This bonus increases to 2 speed ranks at level 5, 3 speed ranks at level 10, 4 speed ranks at level 15 and 5 speed ranks at level 20. You also make any knowledge check regarding demonic powers and abilities as if trained and with a +15 bonus, gain the benefits of Improved Uncanny Dodge and Evasion X, are immune to fear effects and add your Int modifier to attack and defence as you calmly analyse the situation to find the best advantages.

During this state you cannot distinguish between friend and foe, only between demon and non-demon, and your emotions are limited to cold, calculating detachment, sadistic joy and murderous outrage. You ruthlessly try to kill any and all demons in the immediate area, using your full capabilities and tactical prowess to do so, rather than acting like a mindless berserker (So instead of just attacking head-on you create ambushes, set traps, stalk your enemy until they let their guard down etc). You mercilessly kill any demon if it's possible and tactically sound to do so, although you can make a DC15 will save to prioritize enemies and avoid killing a target. Non-demons are ignored unless they stand between you and killing a demon, in which case they are incapacitated as quickly and efficiently as possible, whether they are friend or foe.

Upon reducing a demon of equal or greater CR than yourself to 0 or less hp during this state you feel a surge of euphoria similar to an orgasm and recieve an extra attack as per the cleave feat with a bonus to attack equal to the difference in CR between you and the slain demon. You may move a distance before making the attack equal to 5 feet plus an extra 5 feet for every 2 points of CR difference between you and the slain demon. You can make as many of these bonus attacks per round as you like. You view demons with a lower CR than you with disdain or disgust and demons of a higher CR with a sense of excited anticipation. When there are no demons left alive in the immediate area the Demon-Hunting Frenzy ends. You can prematurely end the Frenzy by making a Will save (DC25+difference in CR between you and the highest CR demon in the area. If the difference is negative, the DC is reduced by the difference). If a demon is either 10 CR above you or obviously undefeatable you will retreat as far as possible at the first viable oppourtunity.

You may attempt to supress the Demon-Hunting Frenzy immediately upon activation by making a save equal to (DC20+difference in CR between you and the highest CR demon in the area. If the difference is negative, the DC is reduced by the difference). Saves made to supress or end a Frenzy are reduced by 5 if you have had two seperate encounters with the highest CR demon in the area within the last 24 hours, and a further 1 for every hour spent in the presence of the highest CR demon in the area within the last 24 hours. Demons that you feel particularly attached to (Eg a really close friend or lover, artificially-induced relationships (eg through Genjutsu) count) grant a +10 bonus to end or supress the Frenzy whan they're the highest CR demon in the vicinity. You feel very possessive of them during Frenzy and act extremely violently towards anything that harms them during the Frenzy, gaining a +1 to attack and damage against the aggressor if the demon in question has been attacked within the last round, and their assailants are counted as demons in regards to possible targets for the rest of the Frenzy.

Killer Instinct
You can sense the presence of any demon within 100ft, and feel an urge to seek them out and end them. You can also gauge the strength of a demon this way.

Muscle Memory
Your full-attacks are treated as having full BAB for determining the number of attacks made, and you gain a +2 bonus to perform Taijutsu techniques.

Lamarck Was Right
At level 2 you are treated as being proficient with all non-exotic weapons. At level 5 you are treated as being proficient with all armour types and exotic weapons as well. At level 9 all feats and class features that apply to a single weapon or armour type (eg Weapon Focus) apply to all weapon or armour types. At level 14 your maximum number of skill ranks increases to level+4. At level 19 this increases to level+5.

Controlled Frenzy
At level 10 you can enter the Demon-Hunting Frenzy at will 1/day regardless of the presence of demons. Your behaviour is unchanged and you do not gain a bonus attack upon slaying a foe of equal or greater CR. The Frenzy lasts for a number of rounds equal to your constitution modifier + 2, costs 5 points of chakra to maintain per round and induces 2 points of stamina damage per round. You may end the frenzy at any time. After the Frenzy ends, you become fatigued. You gain an extra use per day at levels 15 and 20. If you're in a controlled Demon-Hunting Frenzy, the normal ability does not activate upon being within 30ft or line-of-sight of a demon.

Any tips on how to improve this?
