Nice, solid supplement. I havent read everything word-for-word, but I assume its much like the material you shared with me before with the obvious additions. Good job as always and I hope everyone appreciates the work you put into the material.
Now I suppose Ill leave room for the barrage of stupid questions.. _________________ "There are only two ways off this battlefield, friend. Unfortunately, leaving expired the moment you crossed paths with a Kirigakure shinobi."

Aside from a few personal gripes, it looks pretty good. _________________

Only way to get rid of them is to actually talk about what's bad and what's good. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

I've read over everything and I gotta say, I love it! Especially the NPC sages that were written up and the sage summons. I can't wait to try out sage mode. _________________ There's nothing quite like having the soft reset keystroke down to a zen-like art form. You asked for it then Frankto (flinches for flying rocks); I find the balance check to be a bit much for the fact of extra dice rolls. The duration also seems to be potentially broken and to low of a rank; in my opinion it should be at least a Rank S/12 with a higher cost and/or perform.
edit: i told you they were personal gripes. _________________

Clever ideas all around---I really enjoyed the little flavor you added to Nature Energy, especially how you can't rage with it in you. I'm going to take my time playing this supplement against standard characters to see how it fairs up overall.
Right now, after reading, I'm a little worried that Senjutsu Chakra Fatigue isn't a good enough penalty to discourage over-creating senjutsu chakra. Anyways, I'll need to see for myself how that plays out in front of me.
Thanks for the awesome work, Frankto. |

You mean sennin mode? You'll have to be more specific here, I am absolutely exhausted. Also, it's not the first time I've been proven wrong. If people agree, then that's how it should be. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

I was indeed speaking of sennin-mode (nice catch); sorry I caught a wicked cold/flu from my friends 1 year old kid.. so my head is all fuzzy making everything I say or type come out half assed/weird. _________________

Well, people? Sennin Mode too low level? _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

hmm, considering teh minimum level to take teh prestige class is 10(12 ranks in a possibly class skill) and that's also assuming you could manage 60 chakra by 9th level to get sage's wisdom, having it be rank 8 seems technically pointless, since it wouldnt actually be obtainable till lvl 10 minimum, I'd say rank 12 wouldn't be too much, but I'd personally rank it
10/s, and make it a kinjutsu(forget if it already is) because of it's rarity/obscurity, though forbidden may be teh wrong word...it wouldn't be a hijutsu because no specific person made it...maybe a "great sage" hijutsu? |

it's not a hijutsu or a kinjutsu, there are just very few people that are capable of teaching it. |

hmm, so does that mean normally you'd have to "develop" it? i guess that would be one way to reflect it's difficulty...
also, one question on the Frog's death march(forget full name)
why does it take 10 times as long to learn it? is this for fluff or something? or did the old frogs say something about spending months/years learning it? |

You don't need to be a Sage to use Sennin Mode.
Other than that, I agree that Sage's Wisdom limits how early you can learn Senjutsu. An 18 in CON would get you to 60 at level 11 (5x12). I guess you can make it at level 8 if you went through Earth Medical Specialist (6x9+7).
While possible to get 60 cp at level 8, you'd need to wait until level 9 when you can get a feat.* If you didn't make it by then, then the earliest you could take Sage's Wisdom is level 12. Considering all that, at minimum the jutsu should be rank 9, since that's the earliest you can get the right stuff. However, Sennin Mode strikes me as a S-class jutsu, maybe Super S-class.
I personally like the Kinjutsu idea, since I doubt anyone would be able to learn Senjutsu (let alone Sennin Mode) on their own.
*By then characters who went the Tough route and into Advanced Classes could maybe have enough cp to get the feat.

oh yeah...my bad, I was going off the idea that if I ever made a sage-type character (someone who used nature energy or any sage techs) I'd probably give them at least the first level of sage before going far into it, or get sageblooded at least since it would help with teh cha damage |

Good catch, I forgot to lower the chakra requirements. Sage's Wisdom was a 12th level feat. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

So...i'm confused, lowering the chakra requirements, but giving it a level requirement? what exactly would it look like revised out of curiosity? Also, would it warrant another update or will it be implemented at a late date with more content/revision? |

I write words, and these words form sentences.
As you can see here, I mention that I had forgotten to lower the chakra requirements. From my next sentence, one might conclude that it is because originally, Sage's Wisdom was a 12th level feat.
The requirement was halved. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Iorry, i'm used to the chakra variant (2+con mod*HD) so 60 chakra is usually obtainable easily by 12th level for our group, I didn't see why it had to be lowered, with the standard chakra rules though it would be a bit harder though.
Also, level requirement doesn't affect my group much as our usual DM has already said that if he even allows sage content, lowest level someone could start taking sage was 13th (as 12th level is low powered jounin) so it looks like his hunch matched yuor original intent, funny how that works out. |

Thanks, that nearly makes me wanna start GMing a Nd20 Group again.
would you be inclined to either to update to phpbb3, and/or adding a "thank you" button hack?
I would really like to push that on some posts. _________________

I like this phpbb style. Find me a style that can very easily be made to duplicate this one and I will absolutely update. Otherwise, it'll have to wait until I'm done recreating it, which is taking a long, long time. Mostly because I have no idea what I'm doing. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Try and get CM to help you on that then
I was gonna type up something more useful here, but I figured it'd be better to put it in the suggestions thread. _________________ I must not fear.

The style is already done. I was quick at work, spend about 6-8h on it. Well it is not perfect and I will probably have to do some changes once Mr.F. asks for it.

I wonder if you want to include the feint mechanic for senjutsu-frog-kata attacks?
Naruto attacked the absorber pain, missing him physically, but connecting a full senjutsu chakra blow - and killing that one with that. _________________

Will we see an update to this file to reflect the new blood pacts (i.e. Octupus sage, Bat sage, etc.)? |
