I was trying to figure out exactly how to slot this ability for a NPC I want to use in my Origins campaign - where the original priestess would be in play. Can anyone help with actually stating out how the ability would work? _________________ "There are only two ways off this battlefield, friend. What does it do, exactly? _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

In all honesty it can be handled simply by using Psionic abilities and/or
Star Wars' Force Sight/Farseeing... I know it's called one of those but you hopefully get the idea.
Basically you can see into the future, but being that it is the future, it's only a probable outcome as time is relative and subject to change. And it's always got some level of vagueness. _________________

So why need rules at all? They see into a possible future. Done. That's it. No special rules required... _________________ Oy, this is going to be troublesome *sigh* |

No one but the DM could produce such an effect - it effectively states what WILL happen, which may not seem like much, but is a relatively hard thing to do in D&D.
Mainly, it's a lot of work for the GM every time he wants to give a prediction to predict out why things would happen the way they do. |

That to, it should be used very carefully for the reasons above. As it's something only the GM could know. _________________

My bad, I'm not accustomed to the lower rate of activity. Threads on page one of a forum I intuitively expect to be recentish threads and don't look at the dates. |

Hm...that's actually a fair reason, places like giantitp have front page in the last hour or so depending on category. |
