THE CONJURER'S CODEX IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE! BUY IT HERE!

Conjurer's Codex: Volume I
Conjurer's Codex: Volume II

Conjurer's Codex: Limited Edition!

The newest Naruto d20 supplement will be about summoning, and includes 75 new special summons, 8 new blood pacts, 8 or more summon feats, and 15 artifacts.

Chief among the new blood pacts is the Tyrant, which allows you to summon dinosaurs, of all things. It works much like the Hivemind blood pact.

It should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-70 pages and priced around $3.99 to $6.99, which seems reasonable considering the amount of works this will require.

The dinosaurs it let you summon aren't actually called dinosaurs. They're called hunter, wyvern, goliath, leviathan and titan. Or, in order, velociraptor, pteranodon, allosaur, tylosaur and tyrannosaur. The tyrannosaur is physically the strongest summon by far, though it doesn't do as much damage as some others might.

Well, even if they were a summon you can only have up to 3 at a time(barring a certain epic technique)

It would be cool to have a small dinosaur which can spit stomach acid. I think that might be what he is focusing on.

I was referring to Senshen's post. Not that such creatures were being made in the supplement.

Among the new feats are these three feats for the epic summoners among you:

Epic Summoner: Enables you to summon creatures up to summon level 20.

Celestial Pact: Enables you to summon a legendary summon rank above avatar, the Celestial. You can take this or Summoner Diplomacy, but not both.

Summoner Diplomacy: Enables you to sign a second blood pact. You can take this or Celestial Pact, but not both.

I will second this. The Hunter/Web Spinner Spiders would be neat to incorporate within the spider summon.

As for other creatures, you could always make things such as an Elephant and/or Rhino bloodpact. Big mammals are always fun to use in combat.

Rhino is already in the list of blood pacts. It is as follow: Ape, Bat, Cat, Crocodile, Octopus, Raccoon, Rhinoceros, Tyrant and Wolf.

I added a feat to make Hunting spiders instead of Webspinning spiders.

Ah. Well, how about another bird such as an Owl? A summon with less focus on combat and more focus on assisting their summoner as, for example, a spotter.

Of course, there are other creatures such as Lions or any of the creatures that were shown summoned by Pain's Animal Path. It doesn't have to be the exact creatures, but similar creatures.

I'm less interested in blood pacts right now and more interested in other things, such as summon feats, artifacts, meta-chakra feats and the like.

will this cover item summoning too,or just animals?. Also...I suggest octopi as a possible summon choice.

Octopus is already a blood pact, as evidenced by the fact that it figures in the list I just gave you all. O_o

This is creature summoning, not item.

Prefered Summon gives you a summon that costs less, effective level higher or something. Basically, a summoner has a summon they tend to bring out.

Summon Thematic: Either 1 feat that all your summons get, or a bonus or reduce cost to summons with certain prereqs.

(Pact) Initiate requires Blood Pact, and gives you bonuses based on your Blood Pact and an affinity bonus, and an aesthetic shift. Possibly makes it tiered.
(i.e. "Frog Initiate" gives +4 jump +2 Frog Affinity... or something like that.)
Basically, it would explain someone like Kisame's shark-like qualities.

As for that preferred summon idea, how about you select one unique summon you can summon and increase the amount of time they stay before losing chakra, so they could be around longer.

"Summoner's Bond" or "Blood Brother" might be better names.

Also, speaking of unique summons, it might be interesting if there was a way other than begging your DM to increase the power of a unique summon with time, to represent that while you're out doing what you're doing, they're also training.

I don't know if this would count as an artifact, but have you considered creating special weapons or armor which could be associated with the summons. Maybe they could be passed down to a summoner or something?

I'm using a similar idea with my current campaign, but they're being based on the Four Celestial Guardians. So, I have plans for an armor based on a turtle, a dragon fang sword... you get the picture.
