Does one exist yet? I've recently decided I would like to investigate the idea and see if it would work out very well.

...Mutants and Masterminds. Research, people. It helps.

M&M has a 3rd edition out now too which utilizes 4E rules, just so you know Zol.

Well, I haven't been on this forum in months. Also, who would know that Mutants and Masterminds was what I was looking for. Whos to say any search I'd have done would've produced the results I desired?
Oh well. I do very much appreciate the help.

It's in the first 10 results in google for "d20 super hero" AND "super hero d20", along with a ton of other helpful posts. Usually you never know until you try, except google.

On topic: You are correct. I guess I just didn't expect there to be much. While, I thought here would be better because of the community. Also, I find searches tedious, and I really despise those types of things.

Off topic: Thank you for noticing JTHM. Not enough people are familiar with him.
I drew that one. Smile

BTW, I played two or three times M&MM. I absolutely love the power system, but the leveling and the HP track systems are a bit messy for my taste.

I specially enjoyed the community, there are lots of forums where people do hero conversion, from Iron Man to Dr. Gregory House!

The system is too whacked out for me. Its sad. Even if I could grasp the concept rules and such, theres no way my group has the mental capacity or patience to handle it.
If I play this at all, it'll take some serious re-working for a 3.5 version. Maybe 4.0

While it may look like a lot to digest, M&M is a very easy system to use. If anything, the powers are the hardest thing to grasp early on, but combat and gameplay is quick, simple and fun.

My biggest hurdle is the oldest guys we play with. Both are 40, and have been playing D&D since it came out. One guy in particular keeps confusing 2nd edition rules in our Star Wars game. Apparently you could move OR attack in early editions, when now you can do both, and have swift actions you can convert into a move. Its interesting, trying to teach him.

The only game with any measure of success is Mutants and Masterminds... and it strays so far from D20 it might as well not be. Pathfinder has proven that the OGL is still a viable game system, but it seems like every super hero game that has come and gone over the past 10 years has been sub par at best and utterly terrible at worst.

There are other games out there, like Palladium's Heroes Unlimited series, but that suffers from being a mishmash of unbalance as per any game in the PB system.

What would you guys want out of a D20 Super Hero game? What are 'must have' features? I'm asking based on the premise that you already play D20/OGL games and are looking for something other than the Fantasy genre.. so no "D20 suxx0rs!" comments are necessary.. but if you have something constructive to say about what would cause you to *want* to play a D20 Superhero game despite not generally liking D20, that would be welcome.
