I have a plethora of questions to ask... The first being, once you've reached epic level can you no longer take basic/advanced/prestige classes? (Other questions will be introduced after that is answered, if it is.)
Oh, also I wasn't sure if this would be a beginners question or not, so feel free to change it. _________________ We are the shadows that pass on the Gentle Fist style. We trust not nor should we be trusted. We work in the shadows for a noble cause doing whatever necessary...

You can take any class you qualify for. _________________ "It's like making a cake, but instead of a cake it's a game and instead of frosting I have no life."

Alright, I also read on another post you and I both posted upon about BAB that once you reach epic you no longer gain **bonus** attacks... Is that only once you've taken Epic level classes? Or do you still gain them (more attacks) if you're an epic level and take basic/advanced/prestige classes. _________________ We are the shadows that pass on the Gentle Fist style. Once you have 20 class levels(or HD in general) you no longer gain BAB from classes, and no matter how high your BAB gets from epic bonuses, you do not get any more iterative attacks.
If you have 11 BAB at level 20, you will never have a 4th attack, without bringing in TWF or Haste-like effects, but your BAB will still increase at a flat rate of 1/2 regardless of what classes you take. Saving throws and Defense bonuses function the same way, though have their own progressions, detailed in the epic section. |

Which is kindda idiot. It forces you to first take classes with 1:1 BAB ratio.
But are you sure attaining 10/15/20 BAB doesn't give you a 2nd/3nd/4th attack after lvl 20 ?
In D&D, it does. |

I'd say I'm about 80% sure, though I thought I was remembering it from DnD, maybe what I meant was no matter how high your BAB goes you never get more then 4 iterative attacks(so no 5th attack at 21, 6th at 26 etc..) |

Quote: | Epic Attack Bonus: While the character does not gain any additional attacks, nor does his base attack bonus increase beyond 20th level, he does receive a +1 cumulative epic bonus to attack rolls every even-numbered levels. |
Right from the book, dont get extra attacks because technically its not your BAB that is increasing, its just a bonus to attack rolls.
Also... this is not DnD, its d20 Modern, not all the same things apply. _________________ "Aut Vincere Aut Mori" |

Thank you for reassuring my waning sanity, though I guess I could have checked myself...all the same, thanks. |

Next time, check your facts before making an ass of yourself.

Similarly, the character?s base attack bonus does not increase after character level reaches 20th. However, the character does receive a cumulative +1 epic bonus on all attacks at every odd-numbered level beyond 20th, as shown on Table: Epic Save and Epic Attack Bonuses. Any time a feat, prestige class, or other rule refers to your base attack bonus (except for gaining additional attacks), use the sum of your base attack bonus and epic attack bonus. |
