quick question just cause I cant find it so some puppet components state 5 doses can be used in the weapon/trap now say it his and activates the poison save throws do they have to make 5 rolls? or is there a bonus to the check for so much poison being used? |

What it means is you can poison a target up to 5 separate times on 5 different attacks, or poison 5 people with 5 different attacks, etc...
For ones that apply poison in an AoE like the Porcupine Trap, it just takes that many doses to affect everyone potentially hit at once, no additional saves have to be rolled. |

The that's how I thought It would work but had to be sure and one other quick thing then with the example porcupine trap component how do you determine the save DC on the trap itself? |

The save DC on puppet traps is 10 + 1/2 the Puppeteer's level (total level, not just levels in the puppeteer class) + Int modifier, some might differ in which case it'll be stated. This is the save DC for the piercing damage, the poison applied I believe uses its normal DC -2, it should specify that in the component itself. |

I have a question about that, according to the rule it sounds like you just have to let a DM know, but whenever anyone talks about it it sounds like the DMs have to give you permission. Which is it? |

The DM always has final say, even if something is legal within the confines of the book IF the DM decides he doesn't want it to work that way, it doesn't. On the flip side, he can let stuff that doesn't normally work, work. It's called Rule 0 in gaming. |
