Discord is a mixture of Skype, Teamspeak and Ventrilio with a ton of other features that make it excellent for everyone here on the Forums to use, its free (my favorite part) and has a ton of control for admin to keep things running smoothly!

It seems odd to me that we've got this forum but not anything like a Discord channel for more direct causal interaction among ourselves.

Haha we'll shake our canes together, I only found out about Discord recently and I'm fairly sure i'm smitten. Its so damn user friendly. That and all the features it has I've been using it ever since, I've got custom bots on one channel I use for our ND20 games and it plays all the background noises such as campfires or rain or wind or leaves rustling whenever I need to issue a new one and I can run as many bots as I want to play different sound effects or upload custom ones.
An that is just one of their features. I also love their support of Steam and Skype with the ability to link in gifs |

For those interested I'm now enabling GMs to use the voice chat via the Discord Channel for their own games. You'll have full control over your voice and text channel for the time at which you host the game. There are only a few rules for hosting said games.
1. No usage of content you didn't pay for properly if I find out, you are out. :>
2. To retain your channel you'll need to host games regularly so if you're going to take a break between 2 campaigns depending on the length we may remove the channel until you return (just to keep the clutter organized).
3. There is no 3, except I suppose let myself or one of the other Admin know that you'd like a channel.
