Hi, I have a question about empowered technique. I couldn't find the rule in the book.

Example: Shoukakyuu no Jutsu
Spend 1 additional point of Chakra to increase the damage by 1d4,
up to 1d4 per level, maximum 5d4.

With a level 3 character, he can use this technique with empowered option without prerequisite?

The "per level, maximum 5d4" = If he wants to use the empowered, He will have a +0 dice, +1 dice or a +3 dice?

Greetings,
If you are a level 3 character, in this instance you could spend a maximum of 1 additional point of chakra, as this would make the total damage 3d4.
The key rule to note here is that it states up to 1d4 per level, maximum 5d4.

The base damage of the technique counts towards the maximum number of dice you can empower the technique by.

Base damage =2d4, +1d4 for empowering.

The only way you could empower this technique further is to either increase your level, or gain mastery in Shoukakyuu no Jutsu as mastery can increase your Effective Character Level when performing techniques.

Hope this helps,
