But than it would mean something more like a mountain which is nicknamed old man or grandpa, wouldn't it?

From the top of my head, could be something like:

Kaiyou no Soushi Ryuukami (rather literal)

or Souryuu Kaiyoukami (would literally mean Twin Dragon Ocean Gods)

Of course, my understanding of japanese grammar is limited so I could be very wrong...I just use an online dictionary, mostly.

Of these things the only word I don't get is Mure.

so it's great 'mure' strike/attack technique.

According to my dictionary it means either mountain or swarm.

So...Giant Swarm Attack? Just a guess >_>

That is not what that means at all. "Mureru" is a verb that means 'to swarm' in the same way that a pop singer might be mobbed after a concert. The word you are looking for is 'Taigun.' Same kanji, very different meaning, and it actually makes sense.

Thanks. I am a bit bothered by that Taigun doesn't mean swarm according to jeffreys. And it should especially refer to a large arachnid group.

Gun is the word you want to use to describe a group of animal. Mure is the actions animals would take to form a group. Taigun in this instance means 'big group' which is what a swarm is. You wanted a translation, well, that is it; now it's your choice whether or not you want to use it. Personally, I couldn't care less.

Hrm well, my dictionary says mure is a noun that means:

mure
(n) group; crowd; flock; herd; bevy; school; swarm; cluster (e.g. of stars); clump; pack (e.g. of dogs); (P)

(the same page also does list mureru as to flock; to swarm)

Not saying that my dictionary is the end all be all of language but as far as sources go I tend to see dictionaries as pretty reliable Razz

But, like I mentioned somewhere else. Many words with the same meaning, and many words have a lot of meanings. It can be very confusing @_@

Mureru is the verb 'to flock' and 'mure' is a verbal noun. 'Gun' is the noun you are looking for. Same kanji, same meaning, except one has no business taking the place of the other.

One word does not equal the other. Just because a word is pronounced the same doesn't mean it is written the same, which makes them very different words. Take 'mien' and 'mean' for instance; two very different words, written very differently, pronounced exactly the same.

If you want to name it 'shadow country' you could go with kage no kuni (as I believe all the other countries are denounced as 'no kuni' in the manga?).

I'm not sure how I would translate 'in', I'm afraid I'm not that advanced in japanese grammar, and in my experience translators don't really work either for those cases. Japanese is a very odd language in that words can mean multiple things, and multiple words can mean roughly the same thing, but with subtle distinctions that can make one of them appropriate but the rest completely wrong.

It's very confusing if you're not familiar with it @_@.

Im not going to know the difference its mostly for flavor, thank you. I can look up each word individually but im not sure how words are suppose to combine with superlatives/tenses and such.

I think reitou is used in conjunction with food... skipping the rei for

Toujigoku

might be better.

Haji would be something like the grasp/hold/grip.

My most simple guess would be 'Muryou no Ryuu' but from what I understand 'muryou' is more "free" as in the sense that it has no cost, not in a sense of freedom.

I think "Tojitenairyuu" would be something like "Unbound Dragon"

I'm looking for a few translations as well...

"Spring's Rebirth" as in how Spring supposedly brings life back to the world.
"Summer's War" as in a back and forth struggle.
"Autumn's Wane" as in the decline of life, or waning like the moon.
"Winter's Bite" as in a harshness, almost like an attitude.
and finally, "Winter is coming" meaning Winter as death.

Also, I don't know if it's possible to mean a play on words, but is there any translation of "Age" to mean both getting older and the era something is in? (As in the 'Age of Aquarius')
